The dentist<\/a> \u2013 periodontist Dr. Dimitra Karapetsa graduated from the School of Dentistry of the University of Perugia in Italy in 2008.<\/p>\n

She then worked as a general dentist in a dental clinic in Athens and at the same time, in the academic year 2009, she attended the postgraduate program of the University of Vienna and received a Master in Intraoral Laser Applications.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

The dentist \u2013 periodontist Dr. Dimitra Karapetsa graduated from the School of Dentistry of the University of Perugia in Italy in 2008.<\/p>\n

She then worked as a general dentist in a dental clinic in Athens and at the same time, in the academic year 2009, she attended the postgraduate program of the University of Vienna and received a Master in Intraoral Laser Applications.<\/p>\n

In 2010 she started her specialty in Clinical Periodontics at the University of Paris Diderot – Paris 7 and in 2012 she completed the program with a Master’s degree. During the postgraduate program she began participating in clinical trials to study the relationship between periodontitis and systemic diseases such as cardiovascular disease or diabetes.<\/p>\n

In 2013 she started working as a research fellow at the University Hospital of Pisa in Italy in the 1st European Clinic of Periodontal Medicine treating patients with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity, autoimmune diseases, and periodontitis.<\/p>\n

At the same time in 2013 she started to prepare her doctoral dissertation entitled “Rheumatoid Arthritis and control of periodontal infection: epidemiological evaluation and randomized clinical trial” and in 2017 she was awarded a doctorate by the University of Pisa, Italy.<\/p>\n

She continued to work at the University Hospital of Pisa until the end of 2017. In parallel with the hospital-university activity, she worked from 2013 to 2018 in private dental clinics in Northern Italy, dealing exclusively with periodontics.<\/p>\n

In 2019 she returned to Athens and started working as a periodontist in private clinics while from 2020 she works in her private dental clinic in Peristeri.<\/p>\n
